Last weekend the Snapshot Photobooth had the distinct pleasure of working with Darlene Paguandas and Toni Ronayne. Their chic Water Warrior fundraising event was held at Relative Space to benefit the Walk for Water initiative. Every year during Earth Month Aveda along with the Civello Salons raise money for WaterCan through various efforts.
Darlene and Toni became friends through the Aveda Earth Month initiatives about 2 years ago – a little friendly competition at first and a desire to fundraise and share ideas about how to raise more money. Both ladies were top fundraisers in 2008 and 2009 and were awarded Study Tour trips to Africa from Collega. The trip made a lasting impression on both Darlene and Toni and they decided to increase their involvement with WaterCan. This was their inaugural event and they raised over $14,000!
Flow Photo covered the Aveda Walk For Water event last year which was a tremendous success. This years Walk for Water takes place on April 27, 2011 across Canada – pledge a walker today and make a difference in someones life.
